We welcome new members of any grade-level as we begin the new year! No previous experience is required, and we can always use a diverse range of skills that not only pertain to the robot, but to our team as a whole. We have a Computer Animation group, an Information Technology (I.T.) group that maintains our team’s computer network and website, and a Media Communications group that makes up the business and spirit component of our team. Even if you are not interested in building a robot, please stop by anyway and explain your skills to us, because you never know if you may have an important role to fill on the team!

 

Our team is also in constant need of new mentors. If you have a desire to help out our team by sharing your knowledge or skills, please join us! It doesn't matter what your academic or professional background may be, because our mentors' help ranges from assisting in construction of the robot to helping us write business letters, and even planning our events. If you are interested in becoming a mentor for our team, please contact our Director of Public Relations, Anthony Lucero, at anthony.lucero@rbrobotics.org. Anthony can answer any questions you may have, and he will assist you in becoming a part of the team by giving you information on meetings, events, team projects, and opportunities to help train our members during the fall. If you just want to see what our team is like, please attend one of our meetings, which take place at the location and time described below.

We meet every Wednesday night from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. in Room 407 on the Rancho Bernardo High School campus. Our first meeting will be August 31st, and at that meeting new members will receive all of the information on how to join officially. If you join us after the first meeting, please attend a subsequent meeting and speak to our advisor, Ms. Barnett, or an executive member who can assist you in officially joining.
