Kiwanis Club Presentation 7/27/11

Team Pedestrian was invited to give a presentation to the Rancho Bernardo Kiwanis Club on Wednesday, July 27, 2011. We gave a briefing describing our team’s history and functions accompanied by a Powerpoint Slideshow. Then we demonstrated our robot from the Breakaway game in 2010 and explained how we built the robot and how it works. The Kiwanis Club was generous enough to sponsor us, and we are very pleased that we now have the opportunity to reach out to our community in ways we have never done before because of this great partnership!

Del Mar Fair Competition 6/11/11

We attended an unofficial FIRST Robotics competition at the Del Mar Fair on Saturday, June 11, 2011. We participated with almost 20 other teams, and it was a great way to get to know people from nearby teams while experiencing the excitement from our regional competition!

RB Alive 6/4/11

As part of Rancho Bernardo High School, it was only fitting that Team Pedestrian attended the RB Alive! Expo on Saturday, June 4, 2011. We demonstrated our program to many people from our community that did not know about FIRST, so it was a great way to reach out to them and spread an interest in STEM fields. We were also able to recruit a few mentors, members, and sponsors!
